WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism is a sacrament, instituted by Jesus, by which we receive his empowering grace and proclaim our commitment to live for him..
The use of water symbolizes cleansing from sin and embarking on new life in Christ.
HOW DOES EDGEWOOD DO BAPTISM?
Believer’s baptism at Edgewood Church is for youth and adults 12 years of age and older who have become followers of Christ.
We believe baptism to be an important step in the life of a Christian, part of one’s journey with Jesus.
(Children 8 and older may choose baptism for themselves in consultation with their parents and a pastor.)
HOW DO I GET BAPTISED?
A baptism class is required prior to receiving the sacrament of baptism. If interested in learning more or scheduling a time to be baptized, please sign up below or mark your connection card.
At Edgewood our testimonies are pre-written and recorded by our Tech Team before the service.
During Service your video testimony is played as you walk up to the baptismal tub. To ease any nerves, you can view one of our livestreamed baptisms below to see how the service goes.
